Founder and President
Born and raised here in the farm lands of central Indiana, Nate grew up operating and repairing farm equipment on the family farm with his brother Matt. Which he quickly developed a mechanical skill set and a passion for the agricultural industry at an early age.
While obtaining his bachelors degree in agricultural and biological sciences from Purdue University. Nate started and ran an in-home health care company that is still in operation today. After graduation, Nate attended Parker Hannifin’s accelerated sales training which led to the start of his systems engineering, and later, global account management career for the decade
Throughout his time at Parker, Nate worked alongside engineering teams from companies John Deere, CNH, Oshkosh and BAE Systems. He became very familiar with the recruiting industry and, more importantly, the industrial and mobile equipment manufacturing and distribution industries.
Regularly being contacted by recruiters and having colleagues who owned their own recruiting companies, Nate felt there was a lack of expertise and people skills with recruiters and recruiting companies in general. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Nate took the plunge and founded PQ Talent in late 2014 with a sole focus on recruiting engineers for the mobile hydraulics industry.
Nate is still very much “hands-on” in the recruiting industry cultivating relationships with some of the most talented folks and companies that are out there today.
Also an Indiana native and still a “gear head” at heart, Josh spent his early days in the garage with his father building hot rods, motorcycles, fast cars and anything with wheels and an engine. Josh gained early experience in the automotive and power sports industry as a sales rep and parts manager and would later go to work for the worlds large off high-way equipment manufacturer and co-founder of a high-performance automotive business.
With early development of a strong mechanical background and the aptitude to grow business, this paved the way for the start of his 8 year career with Caterpillar’s Large Engine Facility out of Lafayette, IN.
During his time at Cat, Josh not only learned the inner workings of a large manufacturing company, he also gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the Oil/Gas, Power Generation, Mining, and Heavy Off-Highway Mobile Equipment Industries.
Josh spent most of his time critical assembly areas for the 33/34/35 and 3600 series diesel and natural gas engines including rotating assembly installs, bearing and clearance checks, valve adjustments, fuel/cooling systems installs and more.
Josh stepped away from Caterpillar and partnered with PQ Talent in mid-2015 with a focus in business development and candidate relations to better serve the industry he came from.
Matt was born and raised in the Heartland; he’s a North Central Indiana native who stills calls Indiana home. Matt has spent the last 18 years of his career in Operations and Logistics. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge not only from the labor services management aspect, and also serves as an internal knowledge platform in all facets of MRO.
Having managed long term third party Operational performance contracts in 17 states Matt’s experience transcends industry lines with direct Operations experience in Aerospace, Defense, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Power Sports, Heavy Construction, Foundry Operations, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, and Education. With his background Matt remains a pillar of our business and also has stays active consulting on a frequent basis. On the Logistics side Matt has managed everything from multi-faceted remediation projects to a Distribution Center handling more than $3.5 billion worth of freight annually.
He possesses a sharp eye for deficiency recognition, areas of opportunity and net profit growth through cost effective solutions. He’s frequently been tasked as a Change Agent serving in Recovery Operations in faltering manufacturing facilities across the nation working with financial institutions, receiverships, or independently with a strong track record of success in both revenue performance, and total culture change.
Matt adapts well in every environment and through his career has thrived in the face of extreme pressure, critical deadlines, and recovery/re-organization Operations for financially challenged businesses. Unlike many, Matt prefers pressure and is the asset you want on your team when your back is against the wall.
